How much electricity do underwater lights use?

Far less than people assume — a typical dock runs for pocket change per month.

Real numbers

Our fixtures draw roughly 30–60 watts each. A six-fixture dock at 45 watts running eight hours a night uses about 65 kWh per month — commonly $9–$14 depending on your utility rate.

Reducing it further

A timer or photocell trims runtime, and dimming presets cut draw during off-season months without losing the look.
